Bring The Rain

I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You
Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray

Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain

I am Yours regardless of
The dark clouds that may loom above
Because You are much greater than my pain
You who made a way for me
By suffering Your destiny
So tell me what's a little rain
So I pray

Holy, holy, holy
Is the Lord God Almighty

I sang this song a number of months ago, when the song was released.

I sang it as a prayer; and I meant it.

I meant it from the bottom of my heart.

You ask, you shall receive.

"I know there'll be days when this life brings me pain, but if that's what it takes to praise you... Jesus, bring the rain."

"Jesus, I praise you for the rain and I WILL praise you.... while dancing in it."

  1. Megan, I love your heart. You are teaching me so much through your words, determination, attitude, and most importantly - faith. I will continue to pray for you on this new journey of yours. My Paw-Paw had MS as well, so it is close to my heart. You are such a special woman, and I can't wait to see what God's plan is through all of this.

  3. Well, I love that song....and if rain is needed to nourish and provide sustenance for growth, then I guess bring on the rain, but Lord, when enough rain has fallen for Megan, please bring back out the sunshine!

For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. -Corinthians 5:14
