Our Joy

As of today, Chloe is one month away from turning the ripe ol' age of 2!! You say, "Ohh, here come the 'Terrible 2's!' I say, "HAH! I smite thee!" (I don't know what that means, but I think it's a line from a movie. I just thought it was funny. It probably makes no sense, but to me it does.)
I think when people say, "The terrible 2's." followed by the dramatic drum e/affect (which ever one) and the deep voiced guy who announces things as if it were the end of times; I laugh. Really, what is the terrible two's? I think, for Chloe it's the age of independence. It's the age of discovery, discovering what she can and can't do and what she should and shouldn't do (like hit mommy in the face when we don't get what we want). Here are some things Chloe has learned so far... (I'm going to show you the funny side of Chloe, not the 'I need a nap, so I am going to act like a crazy person' side.)

We (by 'we' I mean Chloe) have learned that we don't like a wet or poopy diapers, SOOO while we are napping it's fun to take it off and pee all over the bed and then get mad at mommy because our bed is wet and so are we.We have learned it's fun to ride on great grandma Janzen's walker while she shows us off to all her friends. (This is a highlight for great grans day.)

While we are at the 'grands' for a visit, we have also learned it is fun to steal great grandpa's walker so he can't get up. Finally, we have also learned that sitting in daddy's lap, holding Cooper is our most favorite thing to do in the world...
... next to riding rides at the Kiddie Park.

  1. get down on your knees... do it at this very moment. Are you on your knees? Good.
Now say, "Dear Jesus, thank you for Chloe's crib.Thank you that she hasn't figured out how to climb out of her crib and that I don't have to spend an hour each nap and bed time wrestling a crying toddler to get them to go to sleep. Please keep her there as long as possible... until she goes to Kindergarten would be great. Amen."

  2. Can I borrow Chloe to take her to some nursing homes and hospital? I think people would be more excited to get up and walk. :)
